　私が米米クラブをはじめて知ったのは、ちょうどこのアルバムが出た頃だった。

　その当時歌といえば、歌謡曲の流れを汲むアイドル・ソングしか知らなかった私は、「浪漫飛行」を聴いて脳がはじけたように真っ白になったことを今でも覚えている。それからこのアルバムを毎日、2年間は聞いたと思う。

　そのうち、米米クラブがメジャーになってくるが、当初は「KOME KOME WAR」や「ファンク・フジヤマ」といったノリ路線でバンドを売っていたため、私が「米米クラブで目から鱗が落ちた」といっても、周りのみんなから「あんなコミックバンドがいいだなんて、マジで頭おかしい」といわれて、とても悲しかった記憶がある。

　ご存知のとおりこの曲は発売から3年を経て、JALのCMの採用されて爆発的に売れるようになるのだが、それより前にローソンのバレンタインデー・セールのコマーシャルに使われてたってこと、どれだけの人が覚えているのだろうか。

　まあ、そんな話はどうでもいいとして、このアルバムは米米クラブの最高傑作であり、文句なく星５つです。

これは同ソニー系列のTM NETWORKで言うところの
『HUMAN SYSTEM』にあたるアルバムのような気がする。


音質はあまりよろしくないが
全曲シングルカット可能であると思える程
非常にクオリティーの高い
70'sディスコを彷彿させるメロディアスな楽曲が
最初から最後までズラッと並んでいる。
米米最大の魅力であるFUNKの真髄と言ったところか。


後期の彼らは、らしくない
（てっぺいちゃんのソロ的な…でも米米名義）バラードや
ある種ウケ狙いに走った感のある楽曲が増え、
いろんな意味でバラエティーに富んだアルバムを
リリースすることが多かった。

もちろん引き出しが多いのは悪い事ではないが、
本来の彼らの魅力はこのアルバムにギッチギチに詰まっていると思う。



とにかく一度聴いてみてっ！！

シングルI CAN BEで米米を知ったのが確か１２〜１３才の頃。
以来、すっかりファンになりアルバムも聴くようになりました。
君がいるだけで、浪漫飛行などですっかりメジャーになりましたが
私が聴き始めたころはまだ周りでも知られていませんでした。

個人的にやっぱり“これぞ米米！”と思える曲は初期の作品が多く
SHAKE HIP! 、シュールダンスあたりのFUNKYな曲やマニアックな曲がたまりません。
この作品も含めて、初期の米米はアルバム曲も名作揃いで聴き応え十分。

このKOMEGUNYも相当毎日聴きましたが、全然飽きがきませんでした。
今聞いてみると石井氏の声が若いですね〜。色気のある声がすきです。
１曲１曲が濃く、バラエティーに富んでおり　米米のエッセンスが詰まっているアルバムです。
