1976年大滝詠一が山下達郎・伊藤銀次とともに製作したアルバム。山下達郎・伊藤銀次はそれぞれのバンド、シュガー・ベイブとココナッツ・バンクを解散した直後で、両バンドのレパートリーと書き下ろし曲を持ち寄っている。参加ミュージシャンもファミリー的な人々で、みんなでワイワイと楽しみながら演奏している感じが伝わってくる。遊び心にあふれて、隅から隅まで楽しいポップなアルバムだ。あれこれ感想を書くより参加ミュージシャンを紹介するほうが参考になるだろう。

大滝詠一が彼自身の弟分と制作したコロンビア移籍後初のアルバム。山下達郎プロデュースが４曲、伊藤銀次プロデュースが４曲、大滝プロデュースが３曲の構成である。(オリジナル盤) 山下の作品は、「ドリーミング・デイ」といい、「パレード」といい、現在の彼の作風にも通じるポップな曲が楽しめる。僕の感覚から言えば、「遅すぎた別れ」は山下の作品としては異色に感じられる。伊藤の作品は、過去のリメイクが中心。「日射病」と「ココナツ・ホリデイ」、「新無頼横町」の３曲は、はっぴいえんどの解散ライヴで既に披露されていた曲を、ニューアレンジでレコーディングされたもの。「幸せにさよなら」は、書き下ろし。シングルでは、山下と大滝も加わって、３人が交代でリード・ヴォーカルを取るという物だった。(CDではボーナスで収録。) 大滝の作品は、特に充実しているわけではないが、布谷文夫がリード・ヴォーカルを取った「ナイアガラ音頭」は、ポップスに音頭を取り込むという斬新さ、その後の「クリスマス音頭」、アルバム「レッツ・オンド・アゲン」の布石となる作品で、大滝詠一のコロンビア時代の作品の中で重要な作品だ。
