前作のアバンギャルドを大幅にポップに方向転換した上で、従来ひきずっていた「ネオフォークソング」的な湿っぽさから完全に決別してスケールアップした、THE BOOM自身にとってもリスナにとっても記念碑となる大傑作アルバム。

明るくて、軽くて、暖かくて、陽気で、なつかしくて、騒がしくて、純真で、本当に本当に純真で、自分の中にもそんな純真さがあることを見つけて嬉しくなってしまう、幸せな大切なアルバム。

タイトル通りラテンミュージックをふんだんに取り入れた内容。普段ロックやポップスを聴いた耳にはやはり新鮮です。日本語の詩とボーカルでしっかりBoom風に。
中でも「風になりたい」と「carnaval」がオススメ。

初期のかわいらしいタテノリバンドっぽさは姿を消し、大人の男性の色気さえ感じられるミヤさんの声と切ない歌詞にしびれた。「帰ろうかな」は、故郷を遠く離れて生活する私にとって、聴くたびに涙を誘う名曲だ。
