ずっと長い事、実家の戸棚に眠っていた、レンタル落ちのＣＤ。
それがこのアルバムでした。
玉置浩二には特別興味も無く、アルバムも聴いたことがありませんでしたが、何だか誰にも聴かれないＣＤが可哀相になって、ついつい実家から持ってきました。
家に戻ってから、じっくり聴いたのですが、だんだんと涙が・・・。

田舎で少年時代を過ごした僕には、一曲一曲にものすごく鮮明な風景が浮かんできて、とても懐かしい気持ちになりました。
都会に住んでいる僕と、田舎で育った僕の少年。
うまく言葉に出来ませんが、とにかく聴けば胸の深いところにしみわたってきます。

それと玉置さんの抜群の歌唱力にも気づかされました。

ここまで歌える人は、日本では鈴木雅之と玉置浩二くらいじゃないでしょうか？
ものすごく説得力のある歌声です。

自分の人生のアルバムトップ５には入りますね。
都会で育った人にはわからないかもしれませんが、僕のように田舎育ちの人には、間違いなく胸の奥の奥になにか郷愁のような感情が湧き上がってくると思います。

　それで買ってしまいました。

　アルバムタイトル曲　本当に最高です　泣けます。

　何か昔懐かしい故郷の風景。北海道の道東や道央を知る人には、余計理解できると思います。

　全体的にスローな曲が多く、私の嗜好とはピッタリでした。

まず最初に私はこの手のアルバムをよくリリースできたなと思いました。
それまでの玉置さんのイメージとは違い都会的なものはは一切排除され、
故郷への想いを思い切り歌っている。そこには売れる為の歌を量産する
工場でできた歌とは全くかけ離れた歌達がいる。
｢花咲く土手に｣はじいちゃんを見送る風景を。
｢カリント工場の煙突の上に｣では幼い頃故郷での思い出を。
シングルバージョンとは違い、めちゃくちゃ熱を帯びています。
そして｢キラキラニコニコ｣では３６０度の
地平線を（360度の地平線って凄いな）。
圧巻なのは｢納屋の空｣のラスト近く。
これをヘッドホンで聴くとあまりの圧倒的なボーカルに
全身に鳥肌が立ちました。（泣くかもしれません）
これだけ純粋に故郷への想いを歌ったアルバムはそれまで聴いた事が
なかった。
あとで知る事になる事だが尾崎豊を失ったプロデューサ須藤晃さんと
玉置さんがお互いに呼応するかのようにこのアルバムを作り、
レコード会社から安全地帯風の歌を要求されても須藤さんが
今玉置さんが作りたい音楽を作れるように取り計らってくれたと。
そういう意味でもこのアルバムは２度も作れるものではないし、
他のアーティストにとってもこういうアルバムを作れる事が
羨ましいんじゃないかなと思います。
