聖子ちゃんが大活躍の頃、小学生だった私はなかなか彼女のレコードを
手に入れるだけのお小遣いがなくて淋しかったけれど、今こうして聞け
ることがこの上なく幸せな気分です。
どんな髪型で、どんな衣装を着ていたのかも思い出せます。何度聞いても
飽きない曲ばかり。そして天性とも言うべき彼女の声。とても癒される。

実を言うと、アイドルをやっていた頃は決して好きではなかったのです。
が、最近、なんだか気になって、あらためて聴き直してみると、曲も最高、歌も最高じゃないですか。
まさにアイドルポップスの絶頂。
どうして昔、この良さがわからなかったんでしょう？
ただ、残念なのは、2枚目の後半。
あきらかにガクッとつまらなくなります。
これさえなければ、あらゆるアルバムの頂点に立ったでしょう。

確かに名曲は多く収録されているのですが、絶対に聴いて欲しい名曲が数多く収録されていないため、このアルバムを聴いただけでは聖子の魅力は掴みきれないと思います。聖子の真の魅力を掴むためには、このアルバムの続編「Bible II、III」をも聴くか、あるいは４枚組ベストアルバム「Seiko・Box」をお勧めします。ちなみに私が思うに、Bibleシリーズの中では「Bible III」が一番入門編としてお勧めだと思います。そのため、本作は「III」を聴いた後に聴いてみるというのも良いかもしれません。また「Bible III」以降のベストアルバムでお勧めなのは「Seiko’96-’98」と「LOVE〜Seiko Matsuda 20th Anniversary Best Selection」の2枚です。
またここで松田聖子のオリジナルアルバムの中で特にお勧めの傑作アルバムを紹介したいと思います。☆印が付いているアルバムは特にお勧めの傑作中の傑作アルバムです。「SQUALL」「☆Silhouette〜シルエット〜」「風立ちぬ」「☆ユートピア」【「Seiko・Avenue」あるいは「Christmas Tree」のどちらか】「☆SOUND OF MY HEART」「☆Strawberry Time」「☆Citron」「Precious Moment」「We Are Love」「☆Eternal」「☆1992 Nouvelle Vague」「☆Sweet Memories '93」「☆DIAMOND EXPRESSION」「Glorious Revolution」「☆It`s style 95」「Vanity Fair」「☆My story」「Forever」「LOVE&EMOTION VOL.1」「☆area62」「☆fairy」「Under the beautiful stars」

松田聖子のアルバムはたくさんでているけれども、この一枚に尽きます。全盛時代の名曲もりだくさん。これこそ、ザ・松田聖子。ジャケットもこれが一番かわいいです。
