あのスマッシング・パンプキンズらのリミックスにも参加したケヴィン・ドットソンの単独ユニット。オルタナ？いいえ、これは違います。完璧なまでのPOPなメロディー、幸せ排出工場とでも言うべき音の素晴らしさです。tahiti80があれだけヒットして、ライナスがメジャーにならないのが不思議なくらい。ライナス自身がジェリー・フィッシュのファンだとかで、そこら辺でも同じキラキラ感を持ったPOPS。これだけのメロディーを世に送り出せる人は本当に稀だと、そう思います。いつまでも色褪せないPOPSとはこういう音楽の事をいうんだなあ、なんてまた溜息。とりあえずtahiti80が好きな人は必聴！「LET YOURSELF BE HAPPY」もお薦め！！

60年代テイストが好きな人なら悶絶決定のライナス１st。

ジェリーフィッシュのサウンドをもっと古い質感に近づけてみた感じ。tahiti 80好きな人や、日本の洋楽経由アーティストたち（かつての渋谷系とか）が好きな人にもオススメ。

それとビートルズ・ファンは必ず聴くべし。ちなみにtahiti80っぽいのは確かなのですが、しかしtahiti80よりももっとずっとロック的・アナログ的であります（tahiti80ほどソフト過ぎない）。そして決定的に違うのは、ライナスのほうがはるかにマジカルでドリーミーだという点ですね。
