自称「JAPANESE TRADITIONAL CHING-DONG SOUL PUNK」なソウルフラワー（笑）。
どの作品も素晴らしいけど、このアルバムを超える作品は今のところ無い。
（個人的には、ベスト盤より好きな一枚！！）
「エエジャナイカ」「海行かば山行かば踊る屍」「満月の夕」などのライブでも馴染みの代表曲が

多数収録されているのと、当時メンバーだったうつみようこのボーカルが聴けるのも魅力。
PUNKと自称するだけあって左翼的だけれど（笑）、理屈抜きに楽しめます！
スウィング・オーバー・ニッポン！音楽は国境を越える！！

SFUが90年代に放ったアルバムとしてはもっとも完成度が高く、時にこの時代を代表する作品として語られる傑作。

95年、阪神大震災の跡地で精力的な音楽活動を繰り広げた後のアルバムは、いつになくストレートなメッセージが込められている。「王様どうでもええじゃないか」と謳う一曲目、まさに読んで字の通り「平和に生きる権利」(原曲はチリの歌手、ビクトル・ハラ)などなど。モノノケサミットでは今一歩だったお囃子とチンドン・サウンドは見事にバンドサウンドと同居している。一方朝鮮やアイルランド民謡のカバーもあり、自由な雰囲気でもある。まさに「雑種天国」といった趣だ。

彼らほど一貫してグローバリズム的な活動を行うバンドはいないだろう。しかしこのアルバムで彼らが提示しているのは極左的な反体制ではなくて、無抵抗による抵抗といえる。それは音楽を真に信じている人たちだからこそメッセージとして伝わるのである。そしてそのメッセージは今の時代にこそ最大限に発揮されるのである。

アイリッシュージャパン混合音楽ー音楽による国家概念の超克の狙い、こういう思想的理想のアプローチは他の分野ではもう昔から色々あるけど、今の時代ロックで正面からくると逆に新鮮。どっかふるいんだけど、今を感じる彼等のイメージそのままだ。６８年世代が支持しそうな歌詞が、今だ我が関西の文化風土と思われてもまた疑問はありますが、思いついたらやってしまう、という大阪人感覚とロックが正直に結び付いてると思います。音楽のクオリテイーも決して悪くないです。この感じが密室的なサヨク感覚になっていかず、広がりを保ってほしいですね。それが今作のアイリッシュ風味の本音と解釈したいです。東欧とかにいったらもっといいかもね。
