パワーみなぎる曲と心温まる（？）曲でいっぱい。まさに真心の真髄を堪能できる1枚。どう考えても変な曲のはずなのだが、名曲へと変えてしまう真ブラザーズの魔術に脱帽。

「KING OF ROCK」に続く攻撃的アルバム「GREAT ADVENTURE」。代表曲である「拝啓、ジョン・レノン」や「空にまいあがれ」など黄金期と言える名曲が揃っている。かつバックバンドMB'Sのが賑やかなソウルフルな「新しい夜明け」に桜井バラードの決定版「スタンダード」、セッションナンバー「S.B.T」など、一貫して攻めの作風を感じさせながらも、ポップ・ロック・フォークとバランスの整ったアルバムである。

個人的に取り上げたいのが「アーカイビズム」。なんとなく地味な印象の曲だが、恐らく「スピード」の次にハイテンションな俺様ラップを響かせている名曲。もうイントロのギターから刹那的な感情の高ぶりが感じられる。サビの適当な歌詞も語感が気持ちいい。実際ジャケットのイメージに最も近いのがこの曲だと思う。「スピード」好きは必聴。

「オレ何言ってんだかわからねぇ　オレの言うことはもっともだー　
　あーもっともだ　あーありがたや　お前はオレを信じなさい」

信じるか信じないかはもう決められてます。
