最初は、結構軽いアルバムだな、なんて思うのですが、何度か聞いてみると、その奥深さがわかってきます。

このアルバム誕生の背景にある、デーモン小暮閣下のスキャンダル等々、鑑みて聞いてみる。そうすると、私たちの毎日にある、ちょっとした寂しさや悲しみに通じるところがあり、そんなセンチメンタルな部分を、あえて表現した彼らは、あたかも「善人風」である。

さすがは聖飢魔II！それでも、やっぱり悪魔だと言い切るのだ！！
もしかして、そうやって隙間に入り込んでくるのかも・・・！
（そして、あなたもファンになる？！）

ロックを全面に出して来た聖飢魔２だがこのアルバムは大変ポップス色の
濃いものとなっている唯一ロックな曲が"ガンズンバター"であとはポップスになっている。いままでのロック丸出し聖飢魔２が好きな方は最初抵抗感があるかもしれないがそこは聖飢魔２、きかせますよ。

ありえない位ファニーなイントロ＃１“千年香妃花”から続く＃２“Gun'n'　Butter”はらしさは些か薄いながらもハードロック色の強い楽曲だが、それ以降のあまりにポップな内容から、初期のおどろおどろしさを追い求める信者からは完全な問題作扱いされたのがこの第９大教典。

確かに“らしさ”を求める向きにはキツい内容かもしれないが、純粋なメロディック・ロックとしては極めて質の高い作品だし、個人的にはかなり楽しめた。

徹頭徹尾ポップ・チューン＃４“ロマンス”や、恋愛の儚い甘酸っぱさや切なさが伝わってくるバラード・ナンバー＃５“Teenage　Dream”、＃１２“Just　Let　Me　Go”などは、街中のＣＤショップでかかっていたら結構一般層にもアピールするんじゃないかと思える佳曲。

先入観を捨てて聴くべき教典。

あ、ＣＤかＭＤで編集する時に、＃１“千年香妃花”〜“地獄の皇太子”を繋ぐとかなり面白カッコよくてオススメ(^｡^)
