やんちゃっぽくて、ビート、上もの、共に最高にセンスの良いトラック。
そこかしこに盛り込まれた知的で気楽なユーモア。
何よりも、完全に日常体験に基づいたとてもリアルなラップの内容。

日本のヒップホップのグループとしては
ほぼ唯一例外的に売れていたせいか、
ハードコアとは縁のない佇まいのためか、
アンダーグラウンドなヒップホップ好きには
かなりバカにされていたりしたようだが、
今聴き返しても全く色あせていない質の高い楽曲群は、
メジャー、マイナーひっくるめても当時彼らが他のグループより
はるか先の道を歩んでいたことを証明していると思う。

「プロローグ」でシンコの音に酔いしれ、「後者」と「ついてる男」の歌詞に爆笑！「Little Bird Strut」で超盛り上がった後は「彼方からの手紙」でまったり。実に計算された曲の配置です。2ndと音が全然違うけどすぐに慣れるでしょう。

日常の中に転がっている、
どうでも良いこと、でもちょっと大切なこと。
そういう見逃しがちなモノたちを掬いあげて磨きあげ輝かせる、
それがこの人達は本当に巧い。
もうラップ云々を超えて、ある種の話芸のレベルなので、
ヒップホップとして軟派だ、等と仰る方々とは、
ハナから物差しが違うのだ。
もちろん、根っこにはヒップホップがあるので、
トラックの出来もそこらの気取りよりかよっぽど完成度は高い。
抜き差しのセンスも光る。
日本ならではのヒップホップのあり方、その一つの結晶。
それすら提示出来ないハーコー（自称）な方々よかは、
よっぽどハーコーです。
先入観で聴いてない人は、是非。
