初回出荷枚数が日本の音楽史上最高の300万枚であったり、発売元がいよいよ発足されたジャニーズ・エンタテイメントであるなど話題が先行した感のあるKinKiのCDデビュー。得意のダンス・チューンあり、せつな系ラヴ・ソングあり、歌謡ロック路線あり、ハイパーに仕上げた笠置シヅ子のカヴァー(!!)ありとヴァラエティに富んだラインナップだけど、この2人、もともと歌は下手じゃないからどれもキチンと形になって聴きやすい。(2)(4)(7)(9)は出演したドラマのエンディング曲、ほかの曲もコンサートですでに披露済みとのことで熱狂的なファンには馴染み深い曲ばかりらしいけど、初体験組には超アイドルの知らなかった側面に新鮮さを覚えるはず。同時リリースのシングル「硝子の少年」(と(2))もブロデューサーに山下達郎を抜擢しているだけに、ポップスの王道を行く好ナンバーが彼らにピッタリだ。あとは1曲でもいいから本人たちの作詞or作曲が欲しかったなと思っちゃったのはワガママ? 　1st.シングル「硝子の少年」と同時にリリースされた、KinKiKIds初のアルバム。デビュー前にコンサートで歌っていた歌や、ドラマ「金田一少年の事件簿」「銀狼怪奇ファイル」「若葉のころ」の主題歌など、何年も歌いためていた楽曲からの選抜なだけに、一言で言うと「濃い」１枚となっている。二人のフレッシュな声が初々しい。

私は、この日が来るのをずう~っと…待ち続けてた！【シングルとアルバム】で、ＣＤデピューなんて、すごい事でした(^O^)《Ａ-ａｌｂｕｍ》は、とても〃貴重な《アルバム》♪です；なんてったって~光一君★剛君の出演した　［ドラマ］の”曲が“いっぱい収録されているのが…私にとってはすごく→　嬉しくて”超お宝”ですね~!(^^)!剛君の『ひとりじゃない』は、悲しい事辛いことがあった時〃私を元気づけてくれました(^^)/今でも、それは変わらずに、私にとっては心を支えてくれています！！！歌を通じて、二人から　　癒されているのだと(^-^)思います：【永遠】にね♪∞♪

それぞれ自分の主演ドラマで主題歌を担当しつつも、
「CD化する予定は今のところありません。」と言う状態が長かった二人。
そんなこんなで実は４曲もデビュー前に持ち歌にしていたわけですが、
その４曲全てを収録したデビューアルバムがこの「A album」です。
今聞くと、な・・なんて爽やかなんだ！若いんだ！(←当然)

光一がまだちょっとジャニーズ系の下手ではあるけれど、かわいい！
私は剛主演「金田一少年の事件簿」の「Kissからはじまるミステリー」が
大好きで、やっと聞くことができて嬉しかった。
他にも「Rocks」や「DISTANCE」、とくに「たよりにしてまっせ」が良い。
買って損することは絶対に有り得ないので、安心してご購入ください！
