「六文銭」のリーダーとして活躍していた小室等は常に戦争を憎み続けていた。
それは、所謂、プロテストソングとも違う静かな戦いである。
　
このアルバムに入っている「いまいきていること」に象徴されるように、静かに聞く人の心の奥の片隅に、小石を投げるような歌だ。
谷川俊太郎の名詩に、小室等の優しいメロディ。
それでいて、聞く人に「戦争」という悪を間違いなく問い掛ける。
　
「お早うの朝」など、日本の言葉を大切に守り続けている貴重なシンガーの代表作と言える本CDは、懐古主義に走ることなく、日本人のもつ言葉とメロディの共演を楽しめるものとなっている。

このCDから、小室等の他のCDを聞くと、さらに上記のことに対する理解が進む。　
小室等ワールドの入門編としても、お薦めです。

高原へいらっしゃいを見て買った人の一人ですが、
残念ながら、LP(CD)用のアレンジとなっており
作品の中で流れるOPの曲ではありませんでした
