disk 2枚にわたって、フォーライフ時代の作品を網羅している。
disk 1を何回もかけて常連に、disk 2は一回くらいしか聞かないかもしれない。
この作品の発表された時期から、今井美樹にたいする評価・好き嫌いがはっきりとわかれてきたことも重要。
ちなみに、エディターレビューに、今井美樹の『限りなく透明なブルー』の世界、とあるのがその象徴。

実質、この前年にアルバム『PRIDE』が出ており、本作は二枚組ということもあるので『Ivory III』または『Ivory final』とタイトルをつけられなかった。たしかにこのdisk 2はB面的ベストだ。しかしその後のベスト・ライブ・他社オリジナルアルバムの乱発をずっと見ていると、ファン心理としてはこの作品をうまく再構成して『Ivory III』としてくれていたらどんなに潔かったか、と悔やまれる。

二枚組のこの作品で、
もう充分ですよ。
今井は歌手です。
芸術家ではありません。
多くのひとが協力して、
これらの曲がやっと出来上がったのです。
何度も何度も歌うと、
曲がどんどん安売りされていきます。
