オリジナルは1987年発売の、
今井美樹2ndアルバムである。
おそらく爆発的に売れたアルバムは、
次の3rdアルバム「Bewith」であると思うが、
（当時、CD店員だったので、目の前で売れていくのを見てた）
デビュー当時の今井美樹を、
耳で感じ取るのには、とても適材と思う。
このアルバムは、繊細な音を、
ひとつずつ繋ぎ合わせたような丁寧さがある。
いわゆる「ビッグヒットシングル」や、
「一般的に印象度の高い曲」は収録されてない。
あえて言えば「野性の風」が、
映画「漂流教室」で使用されたが、バージョンが違う。
しかし、今井美樹ファンの間には、高い評価がある。
世間的には「打ち出し策」の少ないアルバムだが、
今でも評価が高いのは、
やはり「コンセプト」をしっかり持った、
造りのしっかりしたアルバムだからだと思う。
詩の世界に統一性をもたせて、
アレンジも、かなり綿密に行われているし、
ボーカルも、しっかり主張性がある。
現在のような、円熟味のある今井美樹ではなく、
浅めの林檎酒のような、さわやかな風を感じるには、
うってつけのアルバムである。

今井美樹のセカンドアルバム。デビュー作のファムでは、まだまだ歌唱力も定着しておらず、初々しい（今はそこが新鮮で時々聴く）が、このアルバムでは早くも非凡な歌唱力を発揮しはじめている。そして何よりも、楽曲の多くが大変素晴らしい。シングルカットされた「野生の風」は、典型的な売れ線ビューティホーメロディ曲なので、斜に構えて批判することは容易だが、そんな批判も跳ね飛ばすくらいの美しさに、思わず鳥肌が立ってしまう。そんなわけで、僕自身はこのアルバムからリトゥールまでの「非・布袋アルバム」を「第一期」と認識し、その中でも初期を飾るメモリアルアルバムだと思っている。

今井美樹さんのアルバムは最初の３枚がオススメです。
このアルバムはセカンドですが、今ではほとんど聴けない
アップテンポの曲が収録されています。

私のお気に入りは、『クラブ・ロンリーハーツ・エキゾティカ 』で、
今でも持ち歩いて聴いています。
１５年以上前に行ったコンサートで、
確か両脇に女性ダンサー（コーラスだったかな？）を従えて
この曲をノリノリで歌っていたお姿は
今でも目に焼きついています。

また、ノリノリでカッコいい曲を聴かせて欲しいですね！
