80年代には早すぎた感すらある大沢誉志幸。何よりもあの声の衝迫力に20年前も今も惹かれてやみません。「Confusion」はその独特な声と曲群の存在感とが奇妙なほどマッチした希有な一枚です。何度繰り返し聞き続けたことか。90年代のCD再販で購入しそこない、2000年代の再販をひたすら希望。なぜかというと、ベスト盤にもライブDVDにもかの名曲「彼女の向こう側」が入っていないから（何故でしょうね？）。ドライブ感のあるメロディラインにちょい乾いた大沢氏の声がのるともうせつないのですよ。ぜひ今の十代、二十代の方にも聴いていただきたいと思います。

大沢誉志幸の代表曲、それだけでなく80年代の名曲の１つである「そして僕は途方に暮れる」を収録するアルバム。高校時代よくきいたなー。
80年代の空気がビリビリ感じられます。
最近ジャケットを見なおしてみると、バックにTONY LEVIN(b）AIDRIAN belew(g)。なんとKING CRIMSON。豪華すぎる。

大沢さんがブレイクしたアルバムです。「そして僕は・・・」目当てでこのアルバムを聴いたら
はまってしまい、後追いで過去のアルバムもチェックし始めた・・・
そんなファンが当時多かったのではないでしょうか？
冒頭の「CONFUSION」から、スピード感溢れるハスキーボイスは
力ずくで聴く者を引きずり込むような迫力に満ちています。
大沢さんはブラックミュージックを巧みに料理してみせ、ファンに音楽の多様な魅力を広めた
功労者の一人だと思います。今やソウルテイストの男性ボーカルっていっぱいいますけど・・・
大沢さんがいなければ、あの人やこの人のデビューも随分遅れたのでは？
