今やすっかり{国民的バンド}になった上々颱風の4作目。今回は哀愁歌謡風のナンバーが多い。ちょっとキレ方は少なくなったかなという気はするが,じっくり聴かせてしまう実力とセンスはさすが。例によってエミちゃんサトちゃんのコブシもコロコロ回ってます。

アンコールの定番「いつでも誰かが」が入っているばかりでなく、叙情的な
昭和歌謡のような「メトロに乗って浅草へ」、えみちゃんが演歌歌手をめざしていたんではないかと疑いたくなるようなアルバムタイトル曲の「愛があるから大丈夫」、ノリノリの「黄昏酒場でまた会おうね」「なんじゃもんじゃの木の下で」等々、中国あり、アフリカあり、純日本あり、で上々颱風の守備範囲の広さを余すことなく伝えるアルバム。でも、やっぱり「上海我愛にー」のさと子さんがすばらしい。声は楽器になるんですね。幸せな気分になれる一枚。

タイトルがいいなぁ~「愛があるから大丈夫」て、ついたこのアルバム。本当に無敵ですよ！４枚目となるオリジナル・アルバム、タイトル通り、安定感が増して、聞きやすい。今まであった不安定なところが少なくなり、まとまった感じが強くなった。その分、楽しみ（スリル）が無くなったのかもしれませんが、ここで、ある意味、ひとつのスタイルを極めたのでは？と思っています。当然に評価は星５つです。それにしても、ヴォーカルのこぶしのまわしには恐れ入ってしまいます。一番すきな曲はやっぱり・・・タイトル曲です。今の世の中、これがないといけませんよね・・・・

前作に満ちていた「何だかとんでもない」感じが少し薄いので星ひとつ減点にしましたが、やっぱりこのアルバムもすばらしいわ。
特にT8は上々颱風の曲の中でもベストの一つ。この一曲を聴くためだけでもこのアルバムを買う価値あり。ジャズを組み込んだ民謡、あるいは秋田音頭をスキャットにしたジャズ（って、聴いてみないと何を言っているのかよくわからないと思います）。ヨーコさんのピアノが入ってくるところなんかトリハダもの。一時期、海外の友人によく聴かせていました。
全曲情感があふれているのに、感傷が入り込む暗がりのないくっきりした輪郭を持っています。このくっきり感はなんだかモーツァルトの短調を思い出させます（全然違う音楽なのに！）
やっぱりこれは名作だなあ。星五つにしようかなあ。
