ずばり、素晴らしい。
誰も真似出来ない矢野ワールド。
当時世間を轟かせた"SOME DAY"の情熱的な佐野元春のサウンドが、ピアノと矢野さんのボーカルで、こんなにしっとりとしたバラードになってしまう。
"HOW CAN I BE SURE"を歌い上げる情熱的な声は圧巻。
私はこのCDで曲を知ってからオリジナルを知る場合が殆どだったが、オリジナルの曲は全て名曲であった。
眠れない時のバックミュージックにしようものなら、ずっと聴き惚れて眠れない。
矢野さんの選曲の良さ、アレンジの良さ、その全てが矢野サイズに収まってしまう。静かな、おっとりとした、時に力強い名曲の数々。本当に素敵なCDです。

矢野さんのピアノは本当に印象的で「弾く」←→「弾む」だなぁといつも感じています。僕は「home girl journey」からさかのぼって買ってきましたがこのアルバムも本当に味わい深く、聴いた後にスーッと気分を弾ませてくれる僕にとっては数少ない一枚です。

25年位前、ラジオでピアノ弾き語りのスタジオライブを聞いて以来、ずーーーっとこういうアルバムが出るのを待ってました。
初めて聴いた時も、そして今でも、聴き終わったあとに大きな愛情に包まれた様な感覚になります。

それから僕はギター弾きですが、矢野顕子大先生のピアノ大好きです。
たとえばビル・エバンスもグレン・グールドも偉大なピアニストですが、ピアニスト矢野顕子も偉大です。

世界に誇る、日本のアーティストです。
