20年前に女子の「メガネ萌え」を確立させた人です（笑）
育ち良さげで可愛い風貌で、アイドル的な売り出され方をしていた彼ですが、
この初期ベストの頃までは、非常に良質な曲をいくつも送り出していました。
意表を突くメロディラインや転調を多用しながら、
親しみやすい曲に仕上げる手腕はさすがですし、
身近な生活描写で恋愛のちょっとした感情のアヤを表現する詞も、
そういえばこういう繊細なワザのできる人は
最近少ないなあ、と思います。
清水信之や故・大村雅朗によるアレンジも、
音数を絞って曲の良さを引き出し、
派手ではないもののセンスの良さを感じさせます。
大江千里のアルバムで最初に聴くならこの1枚。
気に入った曲があったら、
ぜひその曲収録のオリジナルアルバムまでさかのぼってみて下さい。

結構センス良い楽曲が多く、カレの一途な思いが伝わってきて切なくなるキュートなＰＯＰＳが沢山詰まってます。親しみやすいメロディーがいいですよ。

引越しで出て来たこのアルバム。聴いた瞬間に１５歳にフラッシュバック。参りました。

大江千里さんと言えばこの後の「Sloppy Joe II」の方がヒット曲も入ってて一般的には受けが良いようですが、私は
絶対こっちです。「REAL』、「GLORY DAYS」、「Rain」この時代のポップスを聴き直したくなった１枚でした。
