わざとらしい大人の雰囲気のジャケットですが、それが唯一似合う許される日本人アーティスト。

ランナウェイの頃から、子供心に「この歌唱力はただものではない！」と思ってました。
山下達郎や小田和正といったすでに名声を得ている超大物が、
「ホントは俺もこういう音楽やりたいんよね。大人による大人のためのヤツをね。
　でも、自分でやるとどうもギャップがあってね。だからマーティンに託すのよね。」
と言わんばかりにプロデュース。それぞれの個性が出てて聴き比べ甲斐があります。
でも、やっぱり私は最初のソロを手掛けた大沢誉志幸が凄いと思います。
この人と鈴木さんが、日本では成立していなかったこういう大人の音楽を創ったのだと思う。
ギターで布袋が参加している６曲目は超名曲。
こういう世界観を創りだす才能に僕は途方に暮れます。

　ベスト盤でありながら、ブラックテイストを十分に含んだ、いかにも鈴木雅之らしいアルバムです。
　ベストアルバムに選ばれるべくして選ばれた曲ばかりだと思いますが、私的にはちょっと異色の「おやすみロージー」を選曲してくれたのがとても嬉しいですね。
　夜にベイサイドあたりを車で流しながら聴くには最適のアルバムだと思います。
