聴く者は、終盤の「雫」に至り、それまでが儚い幻だったかのような無常感に包まれる。日本現代音楽最高到達点。シンセの嵐。

角川春樹監督の映画作品の音楽を小室氏が担当し、話題となったサントラ。今となってはこの組み合わせはいわくつき・・・・ですが・・・・・。時代劇なので小室氏には珍しい和テイストを押し出したサウンドとなっています。唯一小室氏がボーカルをとる主題曲は小室氏独特のねちっこい歌唱がサウンドと妙にマッチして癖になる一曲となっています。

　角川映画「天と地を」を観る前にアルバムを購入し聴いてみたのですが、和風テイストの曲調が
全般を通して　あまりにも切なくて、思わず涙が出てきました。
　当時　小室さんが所属していたバンド　TMネットワークのファンだったのですが　このアルバムと、
OVA「バンパイアハンターD」のサントラと合わせて、小室さんの音楽監督としての才能に感服しました。
　小室さんにさほど興味のない妹も　これを聴き、「やっぱり小室さんって　天才だよね」と　つぶやいていました。
　プロデューサーとして　沢山のミリオンセラーを産み出していた頃よりも、この頃の小室さんの作品が
やっぱり好きですね。
　ただ音楽は素晴らしいのですが、アルバムの表紙や中身にあまり魅力を感じられなかったので、特に
商品として売り出す以上、表に持ってこれる良い写真はなかったのかと残念に思います。
　地味ですよねえ。
