このアルバムは、ベストという事もあるけど何時聴いてもよいです。まさにヒット曲の宝庫。ただのイケメンコンビでない事は全世界が承認済み。実力派です。ノリノリのダンス曲もあり、しっとりとしたバラードもあり、そのどれもが色褪せることの無い名曲揃い。いま聴き返しても古さも感じないし、当時よりも良いものに思える。後に一世を風靡したボーイズグループ「ニューキッズオンザブロック」や「バックストリートボーイズ」なんかにも多大な影響を与えているはずですね。

活動期間自体は短かったものの、その分、彼らが放ち続けた曲は、見事に時代とリスナーに受け入れらた秀作ばかり。デビュー時から解散前のラスト･アルバム曲まで、今になって聴き返しても良いものは良いとしか言えません。
また、デビュー時からその音楽性の中に、単なるポップス･デュオというだけでなく、＋α(音楽センスの良さ)が光っていました。正に輝ける'80sブリティッシュ･インヴェイジョンの寵児でした。
当初、アメリカン･ロック派−当時は身近な洋楽ファンは米英両派に分かれていたりしました−だった私も、結構裏で(!?)でワム!を支持してたんです(^^;

友達同士だったというワムが解散するまでの間に放った元気一杯のヒット曲集。聞いている此方まで心が弾んでくるような作品群です。元気が出ます。
