某ジャニーズの番組なんかでも使われてた『OVERNIGHT SENSATION』や、『ALL SHE WROTE』,『DON'T TREAT ME BAD』,『LOVE OF A LIFETIME』といった初期FIREHOUSEの名曲が目白押しで、何度も何度も聴き込みました♪
C.J.スネアの声も大好きだし、レコード会社を移籍するまでの全てのアルバムが全部お勧めです！
「USハードロックってこういうもんだ！」っていうのがひしひしと感じられて、まさしく王道！！って感じがします。

数多くのバンドがいますが、いまだに僕の中ではFIREHOUSEはトップ10の中に入り続けています。

このデビューアルバムを聞いたのは、もう10年くらい前でしょうか？
私はHR/HMのCDを1000枚くらい持っていますが、このアルバムは私の中では名作の１つです。
C.J.スネアの特徴あるハイトーンな声、デストーションを効かせたGuiter、
とてもメロディアスな曲がたくさんあり、まだ聴いたことがない人にはお薦めです。

アメリカン・ハード・ポップロックとしてはヘヴィですが、
ビルボードで全米３位になった「Love of a Lifetme」は名曲で、
昔FMでこれが流れていたのを思い出します。

#7の美しいKeyboardで始まる「Home is where ...」も良いですし、
ライブで自分が暴れまわれるだろう#10 Overnight Sensationは本当に良い曲です。
これを最初聴いた時は、かなり衝撃でした。

ハード・ポップスですのでスピードなどを求める人は他に行って欲しいですが、
それでもこういう曲を聴くことは１つの勉強になります。
温故知新として、是非どうでしょうか？

最初の１曲目以外全曲素晴らしい！
１ｓｔが名盤というお約束そのものですｗ
若さと野心に溢れ、でも１ｓｔなのにすでに落ち着いてる音の数々・・・
何本もGをオーバーダブしたせいか新人とは思えない音の厚みが・・・
FIREHOUSEと言えばこの１ｓｔだ！と私は胸張って言うつもりですよｗ

２作目からは決して悪くは無いんだけどバラードやアメリカンHR寄りになっていってしまい、これぞHR！というスピード感やドライヴ感が無くなっていってる気がします。
まぁ、ラヴ・オブ・ア・ライフタイムが売れたせいもあるんでしょうけどｗ
この時代、HR／HM好きには良い時代だったなぁ・・・・
