モーニング娘。を象徴するメンバーの入れ替わりが激しかったころのＰＶが満載です。昔は”聴かせる歌”が多かった娘。ですが、『ＬＯＶＥマシーン』から”ノリと勢い”のある曲調に変わってきたのが分かります。
このＰＶ集の中では、やっぱり今でも歌い継がれている『モーニング・コーヒー』が一番いいですね。
オリジナルメンバーはいなくなってしまいましたが、いつまでも歌い続けて欲しい一曲です。

娘。初のベスト映像版はVHSとDVDで持っている。VHS購入後にDVDが出たため、両方買ってしまったが損をしたとは思っていない。まだ立ち上げ時期の娘。パワーが満載で何度見ても飽きることがない。彼女たち一人一人の表情から伝わる感動はCDでは味わえない。プレデビュー曲といえる愛の種を除いてはセクシー路線だったことがわかる。その集大成がLOVEマシーンであり、この曲で娘。ブランドが確立できたと思う。

1期メンバのうち飯田を除いてすべて卒業してしまった(5月24日につんくの発表があり飯田も来年卒業予定)が、石黒、市井(2期メンバ)の卒業はあまりいい形でなかっただけによくぞ娘。が存続したものだ。特に石黒の卒業はそれまでのセクシー路線からかわいこちゃん路線変更を余儀なくされたと思う(またつんくの先見の明が素晴らしい)。ただハッピーサマーウェディングはつんくから石黒への送る言葉だったのではと最近では思う。

また当初なっちがメインだったのがごっさんの加入でセンターから外れたのはある意味よかったのではないか。このDVDを見ると初期の美少女から大人に変わるなっちがわかる。全体にふっくらして女性らしい体型になるのだが、それを気にして彼女が拒食症にでもなっていたら悲劇以外の何者でもない(余計な心配かもしれないが)。なっちをセンターのプレッシャーから解放するのにごっさんはまさにうってつけのピンチヒッターだった。

今では確固たる地位を確立したが、この足掛け5年の間、紆余曲折を経て娘。たちのガンバリがあったからこそだと思うと、このDVDの存在意義は大きい。

内容は「愛の種」から「ハッピーサマーウェディング」までのモー娘の全曲プロモビデオでした。もう脱退したメンバー、まだあどけないメンバーが見られそこそこ楽しめます。さんざんあちこちで見たLOVEマシーンのプロモも入っていますが、何度見てもおもしろい！
