   90年1月に無期休止宣言し、メンバーがそれぞれソロ活動に向けて動き出してから7か月後、ファン待望のベストアルバム『The Best of Dreams』が発売され、初登場１位を記録した。
   レベッカの最後は一風変わっていて、活動休止宣言、その後、時間をおいてのベスト発表、さらに半年後の正式解散…と、メンバーたちの葛藤が垣間見える流れだった。
   しかし、本作の楽曲群に彼らの迷いはまったく投影されていない。荒削りながらパワフルでソウルフルなレベッカならではのサウンドが光を放っている。レベッカ初期のころの曲<1>から、最後のシングル<14>まで、一貫して存在していたのは「女だてらの意地」だった。（生野 舞）

泣けてくる。アルバムのそこここに散らばった「メモリー」が悲しい。ライヴで欠かせなかったあの曲この曲が整頓され,目の前に提出されている。やはりただのビッグ・ネームに終わらない優れたバンドだった。思い出の浸みこんだ曲をもう1度聴こう。

レベッカの曲をはじめて聴いたのは中1の体育祭でした。ただその時かかった曲（ラズベリードリーム）をテープにダビングしたかっただけなのに聞いてみたら耳に残る曲ばかりで何度もテープを聞いてました。レベッカに一番はまった時期には解散していてとっても残念な気持ちでいっぱいでした。久しぶりに聞いたレベッカあの頃の思い出がフラッシュバックしてきてとても懐かしくなりました。もう最高です。

レベッカの解散発表直後に発売されたＢＥＳＴアルバムです。
ＢＥＳＴ盤が自分にとってのＢＥＳＴ盤にならないことが多いのですが、このアルバムの選曲は初期~解散まで名曲がバランスよくちりばめられており、anothersideとあわせれば、レベッカ入門になります。

レベッカメンバー同世代で当時の大ヒットは忘れませんが、若さ故の食わず嫌いでよく聴いた事なく過ぎ、この年になりアニソン涼宮ハルヒの詰合聴いて、ドラムの小田原氏のリズム感がレベッカを思い出させまして。改めて聴くと楽曲の出来の良さがわかり、いつまでも色褪せない一枚だと思いました。作品全部聴いてないので星マイナス1にしましたが、気持ちは満点ですよ。すばらC〜
