ロック色やポップス色を前面に打ち出すアルバムを比較的多く作る彼の作品の中では、歌詞・リズムとも落ち着いた、大人の雰囲気を感じさせる。「三日月」「ロリータ」などは、いかにも夜が似合う曲。ここしばらく屋敷氏と組んで作っている作品は、ボーカル以外をデジタルで打ち込んでいるものが多いため、ノリはいいものの、時に厚みがなく印象に残りにくいと感じることもあったが、本作は色とりどりのパーカッションを含め楽器での演奏で録音されていて、フミヤの声と素敵に合っている。「"TRUE LOVE"が好き」「フミヤといえばバラードだ」と思っている人には特にお奨め。

「ソラモヨウ」なんてタイトルがなんか重く感じて…チェッカーズのフミヤだったっていうのを感じるのが難しいかな？ポップにも思えないし、ロックでもない。
そして先行シングルが「わらの犬」だったから？この曲も売れましたが「わらの犬」という曲名、シングルのＣＭも暗さ…反響もあったけど、またＦ−ＢＬＯＯＤの後のアルバムだったから？移籍したからか？買う前から何故の違和感がありました。

ですが…
聴いてみたらこのアルバムは実にロマンティックな仕上がりだったんです。今でもファン人気の高いラブソング「映画みたいに」を代表に、フミヤがそれまで歌わなかった世界「青春の道」はやっぱり名曲です。
でもこのアルバムの目玉はやっぱり最初の「三日月」最後の「ＢＩＲＤ」です。
「三日月」は凄く渋い！！最初に聴いた時「ソラモヨウ」のタイトル通りと痛感した曲でした。「ＢＩＲＤ」はやってほしかった世界です。すごく懐かしく７０年代の曲を今やったらこんな風になるって感じがします。なかなかライブでも歌われないので、残念です。
この辺から徐々に他の人の詞も歌うようになってきます。最初はやっぱりフミヤの歌は、フミヤのみの詞で聴きたいと思ってましたが、歌の世界も広がっていいかなって思ってきました。
ファンには投票で1位になるほど人気あるアルバムです。トータル的にはまとまってるアルバムだと思います。Ｆ−ＢＬＯＯＤに続いて有賀さんだったんですね。

フミヤ氏のアルバムの中で一番好きです。
懐かしくきれいな情景の浮かぶ歌詞がとても好きです。
やはりフミヤ氏のよさは「歌詞」と「声」にあるなぁと感じさせられる名作です。
