一応星は５つつけときましたけど、この作品は本当に測れないです。

この作品には、我々が社会化されていく過程で失くしていくものがあるのではないでしょうか？奇跡的なバランスで、美しいメロディと、とてもマジカルな旅人君の声が同居しています。歌詞は聞き手がそれぞれ物語を重ねることができるため、一度ハマると抜け出すのは難しいと思います。サウンド面では、アコギやピアノといった限られた楽器だけの構成で音数が少なく、旅人君の作品の中でも最もシンプルです。　

個人的には、表立って誰かに薦めることはないけれど、一番大切にしたい作品の一つです。

「八月」は最高にきれいな七尾旅人というフィルターをとおしたラブソング。「戦闘機」は死の直前に悟り、書き殴ったような歌詞を至高のメロディに乗せた名曲。あとの２曲も透明で、素直で、名曲です。

3.0 out of 5 stars 全曲アルバム未収録の１stシングル, 2002/11/17
その後のサウンドと比べると、まだまだ未熟。２nd・３rdシングルとあまりの速さで進化していったため、これはアルバムから外されてしまったのだろう。しかし、この時点ではやくもあの「プーティウィッ？」（カート・ヴォネガットの小説「スローターハウス５」に出てくる鳥の鳴き声）の使用がみられたり、１stアルバムの６曲目にこのシングルの４曲目のメロディが使われたりと、ちゃんと繋がりが感じられる。

それにしても、サウンドはともかく、声が凄い。声だけでサイケデリックな感覚を生み出すという圧倒的な存在感。本当に才能のあるアーティストのひとりだと思う。
