冒頭，ＷＨＯがアフリカの村落を訪れるところから映画はスタートする。そこはエボラ出血熱で全滅した村だ。当時はエイズはおろかエボラ出血熱すら一般には知られていない時代であった。そして，主人公のエイズへの人並み以上の思い入れは，ここからスタートする。

そもそも何の病気なのかさえ不明な正体不明のものを追い，まるで刑事のような緻密な調査を開始する主人公を含めた精鋭の医療調査チーム。だが、科学的な調査と並行して極めて人間臭いストーリーが展開される。

このビデオを見て数日後，新聞の片隅に，日本においても，この映画と同様の血液製剤の問題があるらしいというべた記事を読み，まさか？！と絶句したことを思い出す。

その後の展開はテレビやニュースのとおり。このビデオ見た自分は，実際はもっと酷かったのではないか？とすら勘ぐってしまった。

ぜひ日本語版を出してほしいです。これは一見の価値あり！！！
