「幻想的」などという形容詞をしばしば目にもしますが、青年の内的世界を反映した（と私は勝手に思っている）、ある意味でとてもリアルな印象を与える作品です。最初に見たのは海外で、セリフもすべては分からなかったけど、主人公アクセルの精神的発展（？）段階にスコーンと私自身はまってしまったのでしょうね。途中のクライマックスでは泣けて泣けてしょうがありませんでした。オトナになるって、やっぱり本当はとても難しいこと。その課程では、大切な人が死に、女性が去り、大木が燃えさかる、そんな嵐が誰の心にも吹き荒れているのでしょう。私自身にとっては、生涯に渡って忘れられない映画です。

ジョニー・ヂップの映画はほとんど見ていますが、この映画での彼の演技は本当にすばらしかった。当時28歳前後だった彼がフェイ・ダナウェを相手にあそこまでの演技、見入っちゃいました。
一見、奇抜で、幻想的に思える映画ですが、その中に本当の現実的な皮肉が読み取れる、奥深い作品でした。登場人物それぞれがおかれた不幸からの逃避に抱く夢や、相手への罵声、とても非現実的に表現されており、後半では、それぞれが引き戻される現実での不慣れな思いやりや苦しみに対処できず選ぶ、死や葛藤。見終わった後しばらく余韻が残りました。ジョニー・デップのアンチハリウッド時代の根底はここからかな、と勝手に思っちゃってます。本当にお勧めです。

かなり風変わりで、それが更に魅力的な登場人物たち・・・
ストーリーは奇抜で面白くまとまっていて、
画像も音楽もとても綺麗で幻想的で、素晴らしいです。
芸術的な感じがします！

ジョニー・デップは影のある美少年ぶりをいかんなく発揮していますし、
その他のキャストもみんな、この映画の中ではなぜかとても魅力的に感じてしまいます。

幻想的でどこか風変わりで綺麗な映画を求めている方にお勧めです！
