数年前からバレエに興味を持ち始めて少しずつバレエの事を勉強しだした私にはかなり刺激の強いDVDだった。空手の型を習い始めたばかりの人間が，いきなりK-１のリングにたたされてしまったような。

バレエを好きな人間ならギエムを知らない人間はいないだろう。
ただ好き嫌いはわかれるかもしれない。
このDVDではクラッシクからマッツ・エッグの現代作品まで幅広く網羅している。どの場面もいい加減に見ることを許さないほど素晴らしい。

初めて彼女のバレエを見たとき、確かに目の前に動いているのは見慣れた人間の体なのだけど、何か人でないようなものを見る気がした。それは彼女の柔軟な動きのせいではない。私には心そのものが目の前で動いているように見えた。「あぁ心の形は人の形をしてるんだ!」とうっとりしながら思った。

このDVDではギエムの素顔が垣間見えるインタビューにも力が入っているが、やはり彼女はダンサーなのだからバレエのシーンがもっと多いと良かったのに・・・と思った。したがって星四つ。

確かにダンスシーンがもっとほしいとは思いますが、ギエムのDVDを何か一つという場合は最初にお勧めできる作品です。
ギエムの場合、日本公演はモダンが多く、唯一の全幕物ビデオ「シンデレラ」もモダンな演出になっていますので、本DVDのクラシックな白鳥の湖のダンスシーンなどはとても貴重です。　（もちろん内容もすばらしい）

バレエを習い初めて２年になります。
家で観れるバレエのＤＶＤをと思って、ギエムに辿りつきました。

演目ごとに少しずつの映像ですが、釘付けになります！
ギエムの身体の動き、柔軟さ、素晴らしいです。
「シシー」前半の振り付けが可愛いｖ
「黒鳥」　ため息ものですｖ

天性の素質かもしれませんが、加えて「人一倍努力をしないと壁につきあたってしまう」とギエムが語ってて踊りに対する一途な情熱が感じられます。
欲を言えばもっとダンスシーンが見たいけれど、それでも十分
初めてギエムを知るにはお勧めです。
