「糸」は、音楽だけで映画の１シーンを作り出すような名曲。とても感動する。
ミスチルの桜井さんがBank Bandでカバーして、原曲とは一味違った良さをうまく引き出し、原曲も再評価されることに。あらためて歌詞を読むと...凄いの一言。

　「命の別名」もすごくいい曲だと想うが、個人的には「糸」のほうが好き。
　２曲ともすごく感動する曲で、絶対お薦め！
　「命の別名」はすごく力強く、「糸」は穏やかななかにも力強さが含まれている曲。

この『命の別名』と『糸』の２曲は1998年1~3月ののドラマ『聖者の行進』の主題歌として起用されました。『命の別名』は激しく荒々しい感じで、中島みゆきさんの実に力強い歌声が心にヒットします！
『糸』は『命の別名』とは対照的で、優しく穏やかに心に浸透してくるような感じの歌で、私は個人的にこちらの方が好きです。「人との出会いがこんなにも暖かいなんて・・・」と思わせてくれる、まるで聴く人を包み込むような優しい歌声なのです。
曲によってこんなにも歌い方が違うなんて、やっぱり中島みゆきさんはすごい！とうならされる１枚です。
