　安達祐実 主演、日本テレビ系ドラマ「家なき子」の主題歌です。

　「家なき子」は、過激ないじめのシーンと、「同情するなら金をくれ」というセリフで社会現象になりました。役者の演技が少々学芸会的な、無理のあるストーリーでしたが、言わんとすることは分かった、みたいな感じでしょうか。

　ただし、主題歌は良かった。薄っぺらい「優しさ」とか、仲間はずれを怖れてるだけの「友情」、そんなもの吹っ飛ばせ！とばかり、中島みゆきが迫力の歌唱を披露してます。

　「君が笑ってくれるなら、僕は悪にでもなる」という詞が秀逸。この歌のテーマは「勇気」ではないでしょうか。大切な人を守るためなら、時には牙を剥いて向かっていく勇気も必要なんだ。そんな風に聞こえます。

　中島みゆき というシンガーには、フォークというよりはロックに近い自己主張を感じます。普遍の問い掛けというか。叫びみたいなものを感じるのです。70年代、80年代、90年代、すべてで No.1 に輝いているのは、ダテじゃない。「悪女」も「浅い眠り」も「地上の星」も名曲だが、これ（空と君のあいだに）も素晴らしい。名曲！！

　追伸：Track 3. TV MIX とは、いわゆるカラオケのことです。

この詩はドラマ「家なき子」で活躍する柴犬『リュウ』が、主人である少女への思いを詩に表しています。
一番目は「何があっても支えてあげるよ」という深い愛を描いています。「君が笑ってくれるなら、僕は悪にでもなる」という歌詞通り、ドラマでも柴犬は影ながらひたすら少女を支え、時に悪事も働き、何度も命がけな体験をしながら少女を守っていきます。
二番目は少女の母親と父親などの、女と男についての疑問と、父親への憎しみに縛られる少女を思っている詩です。憎しみに囚われないでほしい、と願い続ける健気さが現れていいます。
『純粋な愛』ってこんな感じかな、と納得させられる節がたくさんあり、動物らしい何の汚れもない思いに感動します！

『空と君のあいだに』は「同情するなら金をくれ！」のセリフで大ヒットした1994年のドラマ『家なき子』の主題歌です。「君が笑ってくれるなら 僕は悪にでもなる」というフレーズが当時の子供心にもドキッとさせる何かを感じさせました。まさにソウルフルな歌声に心が震えます。歌詞も世の中の厳しさを感じさせるのに殺伐としているわけでもなく、かえって人間が持つまっすぐさ、純情さ、ひたむきさを表現しているようで、今でも私の大好きな曲です。

『ファイト！』は一風変わった人生の応援歌です。序盤は歌声も小さく何を言っているのか聞き取れないほどで、サビに進むにつれて少しずつ明るくなっていくような感じです。応援歌というには何だか寂しいような歌ですが、それでも聴き終わる頃には十分心がほっこりと癒され、自分で自分を「ファイト！」と励ましてしまう、不思議な応援歌なのです。
