深田恭子がピアノ演奏・作曲を務めるインストゥルメンタル・ミニ・アルバム。彼女の弾くソロ・パートはそんなに難しいものではないが、演奏はチャーミング。彼女が作曲した曲(2曲)もシンプルでかわいらしい。プロデュースは編曲・チェロ演奏の溝口肇。

深田恭子のミニ・アルバムが登場。特技はピアノとクラリネットという恭子ちゃん。このアルバムでは、3歳から始めたというピアノを、彼女が弾いて、全5曲収録している。しかも、「愛がいっぱいあふれている、そんな気持ちをこめて作ったんです」と、恭子ちゃん自身がいう「Dear・・・」と、どこか幻想的なイメージがただよう「Into The Light」、この2曲は彼女が作ったオリジナル・ナンバー。16歳の恭子ちゃんの愛がいっぱいにつまったミニ・アルバムである。サウンド・プロデュースを手がけたのは、癒し系の音楽でも知られるチェリストで作曲家の溝口肇。ということもあって、このミニ・アルバムを聴いていたら、美しく広がる感性の波紋と、そう、ラム・ウールのようなやわらかさとあたたかさを、心に感じた。クラシックの名曲パッヘルベルの「Canon」といった曲さえ、ほのぼのした趣につつまれて魅力的。あったかい音楽とピアノの調べ。一緒にいると、落ち着くよ。 (横堀朱美) --- 1999年12月号

深田恭子が作曲・演奏を行なっているという完全限定インストゥルメンタルミニアルバムがコレ。僕はいろいろなCDを買って聴いていますが、このCDが一番お気にいり...と言っても過言ではない気がします。深田恭子という人に興味はありませんでしたが、このCDはとっても面白い。収録されている淡々と流れるピアノの音、奥行のあるオーケストラはきっとあなたを魅了します。BGMにも最適です。歌詞が無いので癒し系とも言えるでしょう。曲数もあまり多くないので飽きが来ません。絶対に満点星5つです。もっと付けてもいいはずです。今まで自分が聴いてきたインストゥルメンタルの最高傑作。自身をもってお勧めできます。

残念ながら演奏そのものが音楽として楽しめるレベルではないように思いました。単なるBGMにしようにも聴いていて落ち着けません。またコンピュータを多用したアレンジですが、主役のはずのピアノの音色を生かせてないように思いました。高音質で有名な赤川新一、小泉由香の両氏がエンジニアですがこの楽曲ではどうにもできなかったのでしょうね。

恭子さんが作曲した曲、とても心地よいメロディーです。他の曲もあればぜひＣＤにして欲しいです。
