私は45歳のおっさんです。ちょうど、オリジナルラヴが活動していたころは仕事ばかりで、その存在すら知らなかったんです。ところが、ふとした機会にこの音楽を聴き衝撃をうけました。濃い！そして、かっこいい。なんといっても自分の主張をしっかり持っている。こんないいバンドをしらなかったなんて、損してました。これから、前のアルバムも全部あつめようかなって思っています。時代は関係ありません。いい音楽は心に効きます。それを、さらりと実現してくれているアルバムです！

「朝日のあたる道」Ｊポップ史上に残る、大傑作だと思います。
まるで映画を観るよう。曲と詞の世界がこんなにも美しく同調した曲は滅多にない。
そこに男っぽい田島さんの歌声がどこまでも伸びていく・・・何度聴いても、胸がいっぱいになります。
他の曲も心に残る素敵な曲ばかりですよ。
「ＳＴＡＲＳ」のハードボイルドテイスト、「接吻」の陶酔、「プライマル」のせつなさ、
「オレンジ・メカニック・スイサイド」の狂気・・・きっとお気に入りの一曲が見つかります。
曲・詞もいいですが、田島さんの歌がことに良い。ほんと、この人の声には魔力があると思う。

　いろいろなベスト盤が多発してるが、この「変身」はほぼ完全網羅してるのでお薦めです。
　が、できればシングルはすべて収録して欲しかったです。「サンシャインロマンス」「Deep French Kiss」「宝島」「Good Morning Good Morning」が入っていないのがちょっと残念です。
　ですが、「流星都市」や「Hum A Tune」などのアルバムの中の名曲が入ってるのが嬉しいです。
　本来だったら、2枚組くらいが理想なのだが、初めてOLを聞く人にはこのアルバムから入るといろんなサウンドが聞ける。
　何処かに出かける時は必ず持って行きます。
　変身し続けるOLサウンド。声質もどんどん変わってくるのがわかる。
　田島貴男というミュージシャンは本当に凄いと思う。
　「プライマル」のシングルバージョンが聞けるのはこのアルバムだけです。是非ともお薦めします。
