日本総領事館での亡命者連行事件を見て、日本の情けない対応に腹が立ちました。だって、言い訳ばっかなんだもん、まったく。

そこで、言い訳をしない近田春夫率いるビブラスト-ンの登場です。ほぼ１０年前の曲ですが＜パブリック・エネミ-＞も＜ナショナル＞もその効力を失ってはいません！不況になっても世界は変わってないし、解散してもビブラのメッセ-ジは普遍だと言うことですね。

それにしても、問題なのはオリジナル・アルバムがすべて廃盤だと言う事実です。今の時代に有効なアルバムが気軽に聞けないと言う事は大問題ですよキャニオンさん！！再発、お願いします。

おっと、話がそれてしまいました。このアルバムはタイトルどうりのベストな訳ですが、近田春夫による収録曲解説があったりしてビギナ-にも優しい（？）作りとなっています。もちろん、内容はパ-フェクト！嘘は云うけど本当だよ。

ビブラの」アルバム全部でこの星って事で。
でもほとんど廃盤ですか・・・。
最後のアルバムが10年くらい前で、その歯ごたえのある
メッセージ性にガツッとやられたものですが、10年たった今
社会全体が、こういうメッセージが何となく語りにくい硬直した空気に
なっていきつつあるように感じるのは、私だけでしょーか？

10年前の湾岸戦争後に発売された名盤「ナショナル」。タブーにいどむ彼らの姿勢が直に出ているにもかからわず、マイナーな表現にとどまらないデカイサウンド、詩。近田春夫のこのＣＤを手にしなければ、僕はこんな島国シンガポールにはいない。「・・・・その繰り返しが人類の歴史。なら核（爆弾）を持ってていい国、悪い国があるのはなぜんなんだ。そこんとこわかるように説明しちくりや。世界警察の大統領！」くしくも10年たった今、再度世界警察のアメリカと、イスラムとの戦争が始まった。アメリカは好きだけど、自分らだけ核を持っていながら、すべて相手が悪いといって処罰するような姿勢には割り切れないものを感じる。

「天皇とはなんだ。言論を封じるな！」と叫ぶＦＵＮＫはわかったような自分の両世界感を詩をのせた今の連中にどう響くんだろう。

エディターレビューはちとひどいんじゃないかと思ったんで書きました。

売れなかった理由は、内容が政治的だったことと、「ナショナル」発売直後で絶好調だった彼らの日比谷の野音のコンサートで、ブルーススプリングスティーンの真似をして、観客を壇上に上げた近田春男の、妙なバランス感覚にあるような気がする。
