私が小学校の頃（1970年後半）兄がハコさんをよく聴いてたので
自然に私の耳のも入ってました
ハコさんの曲の中には沢山好きな歌がありましたが
その中で特に好きだったのがジプシーローズと藍色の詩です
ジプシーローズは
当時流行っていたフォークソングの中で聴きなれない大人な感じがしましたが
何年も経って普段耳にしなくなった最近でも何故かいつも頭の中に鳴っていて
独りの時は忘れ掛けてた歌詞を思い出しながら口ずさんでました
大人になった今　益々大人の曲な感じがして‥
コレを当時　小学生が好んで聴いていたかと今思うとムフフと笑っちゃいます
聴きたくて聴きたくていたので　今日手元に届いて感激です
やっぱり♪いぃなぁーいぃなぁージプシーローズ!!!
カッコィーです!!!

「水割り」は、非凡な才能がなければ歌にできないであろう内容で、女の冷静な視線から男の狡猾さを浮き彫りにしている。一方、「持っていきます」は、結婚する女性の素直な心情を歌った明るい歌。他の曲にもそれぞれ異なる表情があり、どれも名曲ぞろい。

　ハコを知ったのはだいぶ遅く1991年ですが、以来時々引っ張り出しては聴いています。海外の歌手の真似をしたようなアーティストが多い中、彼女の音楽は完全に世界中で一人だけのものだと思います。彼女のような優れたアーティストの作品が、日本ですらなかなか手に入りにくいという状況はとても残念です。すべてのアルバムを再発してほしい。彼女のアルバムはそれだけの価値があると思います。
　ハコのＣＤで現在も手に入る最も優れたものは、「Dear My Songs」という2枚組ベストアルバムだと思いますが、それもアマゾンでは手に入りません。この「藍色の詩」で最も好きな歌は、「桜の日」「水割り」の2曲です。どちらもとても雰囲気のある歌で、深い短編小説でも読んだような味わいがあります。ぜひご一聴を！
