ラムゼイ・ルイス With EW&Fの「太陽の女神」の影響を強く感じる6)、ボズ・スキャッグスの「ロウ・ダウン」を思わせる1)などこのアルバムのCharは当時のコンテンポラリーな音楽をいち早く取り入れ、独自のサウンドとして昇華させている。この時代に、このテのソウル系の音楽を聴く人はロックの世界ではまだまだ少なく、まして日本人の作品には皆無だったのではないだろうか？こういった姿勢は80年代以降の作品に見られないのが残念だが、都会的でスタイリッシュなセンスも当時のCharの魅力のひとつだった。もちろんCharのロック・スピリッツも溢れる名盤。内容＆演奏は素晴らしいけど録音がイマイチなので星４つ。

CharのデビューAlbumです。当時日本人でここまで弾ける人…いなかったっす。最近のCharにないｱｸﾞﾚｯｼﾌﾞさがここにはあります。とにかくGuitarの音色が最高！！！今は少しｼﾞｬﾘｼﾞｬﾘした音が好みのようですが、これは違う。名器ムスタングであそこまでねばっこく、感情豊かなﾋﾟｯｷﾝｸﾞできる人絶対にいないっす。そして決めのトレモロアームで完全にぶっ倒れます。
Guitaristの手本以外の何者でもない。全Guitarist必聴アルバム。買って損なし。全曲捨て曲無し。

funkyでBluesでそして思い切りRockです（２曲目「かげろう」はちょっとJ-POPS入ってますが名曲）
そして聴き応えたっぷりの７曲目「アイヴ・トライド」は圧巻。こんなGuitar弾かれた日にゃもう、Guitarist辞めたくなります。当時レコードが擦り切れるまで聴いたあの頃が懐かしい。

70年代の日本のロック黎明期を語るに欠かせない１枚。
Charのギター、その後アレンジャーの仕事が多くなる佐藤準のプレイヤーとしての演奏にも注目。
