アルフィーといえば、ジャンルに縛られること無く多くの分野の曲を演奏していることで知られるが、このライブラルバムは、全てにわたりアコースティックギターだけで繰り広げられる究極のアルバムだ。映像を見ていないので詳しいことは分からないが、おそらくバックバンドには殆ど頼らずに３人だけでギター演奏しているように聞こえる。しかし歌唱を交えながらも３人の息のぴったりと合ったギターテクニックを披露している。やはり、邦楽界屈指の不思議なほど解散の噂が無いグループのなせる技量か？

以外と知られていないが、彼らが駆け出しの頃はフォークを主体として演奏していたようだ、しかし鳴かず飛ばずの状態で多方面に方向転換したようだが、このようなアコギライブ盤を聞くと、このようなフォーク時代があってこそ情感溢れる雰囲気を今になっても尚出せる、と同じに美しいメロディーを奏でるバックボーンになっているのでは？と思う。

何しろ、アコーステッィックギタ-だけで奏でているのでストレートに弦の響きが伝わってきて心地よい、またエレアコ故にクリアーな音が折り重なるのは更に素晴らしい。テクニック的にも申し分なく間奏イントロ等もばっちりとギターアレンジされているし、伴奏もバラエティーに富んでいて趣向が凝らされている。後半は殆ど知らない曲だろうが、デビュー当時のフォークソングも披露していた。
坂崎のフォークへの思い入れはアーティスト界のみならず、芸能界屈指なのは周知の事実だろうが、その思い入れがこのCDにも感じられるようだ。

個人的になるが、一番気に入っているのがキョンキョンが歌っていた曲で彼女の中でも指折りの名曲となっている「木枯らしに抱かれて」だ。高見沢提供曲だったのは知っている人も多かろうが、このCDでもカバー曲として登場している。勿論イントロや間奏もギターで上手くアレンジされており、エレアコで奏でるこの曲は、正に「木枯らし」という冬の情景にぴったりはまる、クリアーな音色で魅了する。

ただ、惜しいのが全般を通してそれ程認知されている有名曲が少なかった事だ。勿論「星空のディスタンス」みたいなバリバリロック調の曲はアコースティックアレンジは厳しいだろうが、「一月の雨を忘れない」や「メリーアン」等のアコースティックバージョンも聞いてみたかった。

rockdomの歌詞のどこがエグいのかよくわかりません
木枯らしに抱かれて、昔から知っていましたが、こんなにいい曲だったのかと認識を新たにしました
