名曲『海の時間』、独特のメロディーが頭から離れなくなる『催眠レインコート』、白い道の先の『パジャマの樹』……全曲紹介したいぐらいですが、それはちょっと無理。（笑）
とても浩子さんらしい、と思うアルバムです。『メルヘン』をただそれだけで終わらせない、怖さ、やさしさ。手品師の宝箱のようなアルバムです。

おまけ。このアルバムの「べすと・おぶ・遊び心」は『COTTON COLOR』。一見綿菓子のような歌声ですが・・・（以下秘密）

谷山浩子さんの曲の中で１，２を争う人気を誇る「海の時間」が
収録されています。この曲は、彼女が小学生向けの「大昔の生物」
という図鑑を見ていてできたものですが、とてもすてきなあたたか
いラブソングとなっています。

ずっと想ってきた人と一緒にいられる喜びや恋心を、時空を超えて
生物としての進化をたどりながら噛みしめる、そんな幸せいっぱい
な歌です。

やはり「海の時間」が最高です。世界中探しても、こんなロマンチックで奥ゆかしいメイクラヴ・ソングはないでしょう?「セックスは生きる喜び」という単純で隠蔽されがちな事実を、理想的かつ魅力的な表現で教えてくれます。子供が出来たら性教育にぜひ聴かせたい作品です。でもその前に、灯りを消して恋人とベッドで聴きたい曲ですね!
