   中島みゆきが、1987年にリリースした本盤は、彼女としては初めての、そして唯一のライヴアルバム（2002年現在）。1986年の12月18~21日に行なわれた、両国・国技館でのライヴを収録したものだ。収録曲は、そのライヴの直前にリリースされた『36.5℃』からの楽曲を中心に、1979年の『親愛なる者へ』に収録されていた<2>や、1981年のシングルヒット<3>、1983年の『予感』からの<10><11>など幅広い。ラストを飾る<14>は、1983年のシングル「あの娘」のカップリングだった隠れた名曲。ちなみに<6>は、このアルバムのみで聴ける1曲だ。
   楽曲のよさではすでに大きな支持を得ていた中島みゆきが、感情表現豊かなライヴ・アーティストとしての評価を確立するきっかけとなったアルバムである。そういう意味では、この後1989年に始まる「夜会」へのプロローグとも言えるかもしれない。（剛吉若寸也）

たくさんあるアルバムの中で唯一のライブアルバム。
歌唱力、表現力抜群な中島みゆきに会える。
アンコール曲「波の上」で泣くみゆきさんは貴重かも・・・・・（でも、歌はしっかり歌ってるよ)
聴き応え十分な1枚。

吉野家ソングを始め、前半は当時のBest of 中島みゆきの感があるが、中でも「悪女」はまるで少し前にはやっていたPoliceのEvery breath you takeのようで、ブルース・スプリングスティーンのE,ストリート・バンド風でもあり、このアレンジは最高。これを聴くためだけでもこのアルバムは買う価値あり。

みゆきさんの存在自体もかっこいいし、サウンドもかっこいいし、
かっこいいずくめのライブ・アルバムです。

「36.5℃」からの曲は、どれも臨場感溢れていていきいきしていて、
「HALF」なんて、アルバム・ヴァージョンよりずっといい程です。
名曲「鳥になって」は、オリジナルはストリングスのみ伴奏でしたが、
ここではギターの弾き語りになっていて、どちらも捨てがたい演奏です。

このライブ用にアレンジされたものはどれもとてもかっこよくなっていますが、
「縁」のできは本当に素晴らしいです。重々しいアレンジが曲によく合うし、
マイクなしの生声だけで歌った最後のリフレインなど、
みゆきさんの心の叫びがストレートに聞こえて来そうなくらい迫力があります。
オリジナルが少し古いサウンドになってしまった「阿呆鳥」も、
エスニック風のスパイスの効いたかっこいい曲になっていますし、
オリジナルの乾いた音から、なんと硬派でかっこよくてしっとりしたサウンドに
生まれ変わった「波の上」も、みゆきさんの名演中の名演に数えられます。
涙で声が詰まった風のくだりも、また一つの聴かせ所となっています。

このアルバムでしか聴くことのできない「クリスマスソングを唄うように」は、
このためにこのアルバムを買ってもいいくらい素晴らしい小品で、
後の「LOVERS ONLY」につながる、しかし内向的で控えめな、
本当にいじらしい曲です。

夜会のビデオとはまた違った良さがあって、これは必携のアルバムだと思います。
それに、ジャケットの赤襦袢のみゆきさんの姿が、なんとも美しい！
