ジャズ、Ｒ＆Ｂ，ラテンの３部門でグラミー賞を受賞したアル・ジャロウにとっての集大成といえるアルバム。この偉大なシンガーの為に最高のスタッフが勢ぞろいし、一度だけのライブを一発録りした貴重なアルバムである。そしてプロデュースはマーカス・ミラーによるもので、誰もが知っている名曲を最高のアレンジで聴かせてくれる。ギターに今は亡きエリック・ゲイル、ドラムにスティーブ・ガッド、パーカッションにプリーヒョ・ダ･コスタ、ピアノにジョー・サンプル、そしてオペラ歌手のキャスリーン・バトルとのデュエットもある。アル・ジャロウとこの最高のメンバーとの組み合わせは、ジャズ、Ｒ＆Ｂ、ラテン、ポップスといったジャンルを軽々と超えて、音楽の素晴らしさを教えてくれる。

超一流ミュージシャンを集めたアルジャロウのスタジオライブ。とにかく選曲、演奏内容共に抜群！で何回も聞き直してしまう。マーカスミラーのプロデュースに脱帽。ジョーサンプルのピアノ、スティーブガットのドラム、今際亡きエリックゲイルの泣きのギター、一曲だけ参加しているニールラーセンの本気の演奏が伝わってくる。90年代フュージョンの金字塔である。

ＣＤ出てたとは知らなかった。これはマーカス　ミラープロデュースのスタジオライヴで、ヴィデオを持っていて、僕のお気に入りライヴの一つです。メンツもドラム、スティーヴ　ガッド、ギター、エリック　ゲイル、キーボード　ジョー　サンプル、パーカッション、ポウリーニョ　ダ　コスタ、サックス、デヴィッド　サンボーン、ベースはもちろんマーカスです。どうです、このメンツで、悪かろう筈がありません。ジャロウも最高にノリまくってます。そういえば、エリック　ゲイルは故人となってしまいましたが、これがひょっとして遺作かもしれません。また、僕はエリックってフルアコしか見たことないのですが、この映像の中ではストラト弾いているシーンがあります。ＣＤでは分かりませんが（マニアの方もし、ゲイルにしては音がシャリシャリしてるトラックなら、ストラトです）。フュージョンファンで、このＣＤ知らない人は、アル　ジャロウ知らなくても買うべし！
