最初の２枚は確かに和製メタリカと言われるような音でしたが、この４枚目で音の印象が大分変わりました。
プロデューサーがステファン・カウフマンになって音の質感がガラリと変わりました。なんか各楽器の分離が良いけど湿った感じで、ギターの音は薄くなりました。
曲も全体的に尺が短く歌メロが多彩になりました。（この辺りの経緯は、丹下さんの回顧録に書かれていて興味深かったです。）
発売された当時は、「もうスラッシュじゃなくなったなあ〜」と落胆しましたが、今改めて聴くと、そんなに悪くないと思います。
再発された今こそ、多くの人に聴いてもらいたいバンドです

最近久々に針を落として見ました。(CDですけど。。)
「見事」というより他にありません。
意識はしていないのかも知れません。
しかし確かに「和」を感じ、しかもそれが非常にCOOL。
なまりのある英語すら、個性に感じられ、
「これがOUTRAGEだ!」という自分達のサウンドへの自信を感じます。
確かに「和製メタリカ」という称号にふさわしい質の高い音。
「聞いたことの無い本物のメタル」をこの作品には感じます。
この時代の日本のメタルバンドには、インディーズを含め、
スタイルのみ「メタル」を自称するバンドが結構居たのですが、
本物のメタルを感じます。かっちょイイです。鳥肌ものの一枚。
