このアルバムでは他の2作と比べるとウェスのアドリブは若干控えめなのですが、他のアルバムより繊細で端正なアドリブが聴けます。録音は1967〜68年ですが古さを感じさせない演奏で音質も良く、ジャケットも何かモロッコ風な家が写っててカッコイイ。曲目はスタンダードからブラジル・自作曲までさまざまで、A&M2作目ということで前作より磨きがかかりオーケストラとの相性もバッチリで全体的にまとまった感じです。2曲目の『ジョージア・オン・マイ・マインド』でのウェスのギターにハンコックのピアノが絡んでくるところなんて絶妙です。ウェスのA&M3部作のうち一番ジャズ色が濃いアルバムだと思います。

クリード・テイラーのプロデュース、ドン・セベスキーの編曲によるＡ＆Ｍレコードのウエス・モンゴメリーのイージーリスニング・ジャズ。シリーズ一作目の「ア・デイ・イン・ザ・ライフ」に続く６７年発売の第２作。「思い出のジョージア」など例によって聴き易い曲ばかり。このシリーズ、他にもジョージ・ベンソンやアントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンなどもあり、ジャズファン以外ににも大ヒット。白の統一されたデザインで、４０年近く前のものとは思えないほど粋だ。コアなジャズファンは、なんとなしに軽く見るが、疲れた時の癒しの１枚。重いジャズは苦手な人にも。（松本敏之）
