この魔笛はどう考えても最高ではないか。
夜の女王のドイテコムは完璧、タミーノのパロウズはヴンダーリヒと比べても遜色なし、パパゲーノのプライも文句なし、オケも最高級。
宇野功芳氏は、指揮者のショルティが駄目というが、そんなに駄目か？少なくともこの盤に関しては私は文句はない。宇野氏が薦めるベーム盤やノリントン盤よりもはるかによいと思う。
それにしても魔笛というオペラは何度聞いても飽きることがない。これほどの音楽が２００年以上前に存在していたとは。モーツアルトの最高傑作といえるであろう。

序曲の一音めからもう話にならない。

生ける夜の女王、ドイテコムのアリアは比較するべきものすらない。

知人と某歌劇場の「魔笛」を観たあとで、歴代最高の魔笛との呼び声高き本盤を取り寄せた。反芻は人生のよろこび。

ああ一流ってこうなんだな。序曲でため息。パパゲーノで、3人の侍女でふかくため息。夜の女王であきらめた。CDの方がずうっと素敵。残念ながら、やっぱりこの間のはいなかしばいなんだなあ。

3.0 out of 5 stars モーツァルトというよりはワーグナー, 2009/10/24
テンポが遅く、大仰で大げさで、重苦しく堅苦しい、「正調」の魔笛。音楽というよりは、音「苦」に近い。そういう意味では、ワーグナーの楽劇のような息苦しさを感じる。何より、プライのパパゲーノがひどい。それでも、★１にしないのは、これがやはりモーツァルトで、そして、やはりウィーン・フィルだから。魔笛なら、カラヤン（旧録音）か、ノリントンが、はるかにこれに勝る。
