1992.9.16録音。いわゆるスタンダーズの諸作に比べ，落ち着いた，親密な雰囲気が感じられ，非常に気に入っています。他の方も書いておられますが，これはドラムスのポール・モチアンによるところが大だと思います。ディジョネットのファンの方には申し訳ないですが，ディジョネットだと演奏が白熱しすぎる，また，バラードでさえきらびやかになりすぎるように思うのです。

また，キースとモチアンにとって久々の顔合わせということもあり（16年ぶり），それぞれがお互いの音をよく聞こうとしているように感じます（何となくですが）。３人の「弾かない」「叩かない」間もいい感じです（例えば1の最後の辺り）。

私の好きなのはクールな1，くつろぎの2，喜びに溢れる6，落ち着いて美しい7。特に6はスタンダーズのほぼ同時期のＣＤ”Bye Bye Blackbird”での演奏やＤＶＤ”Live at EAST 1993”での演奏よりずっとノリノリで，聴いているうちにいつも興奮してしまいます。私の中ではキースのベストトラックの１つです。１０点中１０点！

いつもとは異なり、こじんまりしたクラブでのくつろいだ雰囲気のライブ盤。大ホールでの演奏もいくつかCDもあるYou don't know what love isやYou and the night and the musicはここでは淡々と演奏されているように思えました。アットホームな雰囲気にぴったりだと感じたのはBasin street bluesの渋さ、Bye bye blackbirdでは各メンバーのノリノリの声（キースの声ではない）まで聴こえますし、締めのIt's easy to rememberで、おおげさにではないですがしっとりと美しくまとめて終演となります。

スタンダードの鉄壁のトリオといえばキースにピーコックにデジョネットのユニットだが、ここではポール・モチアンのドラムスが参加したディア・ヘッド・インでのライブを収めたライブアルバム。アットホームな会場の雰囲気が伝わってくるのはかつて若きキースが演奏していたペンシルバニアのジャズ・クラブが舞台になっているせいかもしれない。しかし演奏はすこぶるいい。いきなりマイルス・デイヴィスのソーラーから入り、乗りに乗ったドライブ感あふれるインタープレイが聴かれる。次のBasin Street Bluesでもアーシーなキースとピーコックの対話から豊かなジャズの世界へ誘う。Chandraはかわいらしく軽快、You Don't Know What Love Isは美的に、十八番You and the Night and the Musicではアップテンポの中にキースのインスピレーションがBye Bye Blackbirdでは楽しげに、そしてIt's Easy to Rememberのリリカルさと全体の構成も素晴らしい。まさにキースの隠れたる傑作だといえよう。
