楽器演奏、アレンジ、プロデュースを1人で手がけた作品の第３段。
いままでの「ステレオシリーズ」はミニアルバムでしたが、これは１３曲入りで、まさに山崎まさよしの完成形といったかんじ。
「Passeage」「やわらかい月」などのシングル曲も良いですが、あらゆるタイプの名曲が揃ってってあきさせません。

楽器演奏まで自分一人でやってるとあって、どこか手作り感のある素朴で力強いアルバムです。

私はもっぱらながら聞きが常です。そして歌いながら動くのが好きです。このアルバムはしっとりした曲も多いので出来れば、夜じっくり聞くのが良いかなあ、と思います。やわらかい月などなんとなく物寂しさすら感じさせますが、夜一人で口ずさむには持って来いですし、審判の日はうまく南部風を取り入れてて聞き応えありです。だいぶ前に購入しましたが、気がつくと聞いている、そんな一枚です。

1曲目から、アメリカを感じさせるようなリズムで始まります。12曲目の『審判の日』など、ゴスペルをコーラスで取り入れていたりするところなど、ますます音楽の多様なミックス度が、まさやん流にこなれてきています。中盤のバラードじゃなくても、バラードのようにグッと聴かせる歌も、毎回本当に心に染みる日常の変化など、その何気なさにジーンとします。『やわらかい月』や『ある朝の写真』など、目に浮かぶ情景の表現力がすごいです。1曲目『Ticket to the paradise』の躍動感溢れる幕開けから最後の『灯りを消す前に』のしっとりとした終わり方まで、静と動がうまく合致した、素晴らしいアルバムだと思います。
