僕が陽水の音楽と出会ってから３０年以上が過ぎた。「自殺する若者」も　日曜日の朝からテンション上げまくりの「政治屋」たちも　「人生が２度あれば」と願う人々も「夕立」になすすべもない日本人も相変わらずの「あかずの踏み切り」も　ありがとうの言えない「感謝知らずの女」も　おぞましい程「限りない欲望」を追い続ける人類も　そして今は娘を持つ立場で「断絶」を聞いている僕自身も　恐ろしいほど何も変わっていない。「夢」「自由」「翼」「ＬＯＶＥ］使い捨ての音楽が氾濫する今、改めて「天才＝井上陽水」にはまっている。

いろんな人が歌い継いでいる名曲の原点。

ところで、捜し物は何だったんだろう？

傘がないは、出た頃にはよく歌っていましたが、
傘がなくても行けばいいことに気がついてしまいました。

井上陽水の歌は時代を超えて尚、色褪せない魅力を有していると思います。
その中でもこのアルバムに収められている楽曲は「ベスト」の名に恥じない
名曲ぞろいなのではないでしょうか。

軽快な曲あり、しっとりと聴かせる曲あり、笑みが浮かんでしまう曲ありと
陽水の魅力がこの１枚には凝縮されています。

「ゴールデンベスト」という最近、ヒットしたベストアルバムもありますが、
それと異なる陽水の最も脂の乗った時期の曲が収められたこのアルバムこそ
私は「ベスト」なのではないかと思います。
因みに私が気に入っているのは「断絶」という曲です。
