正に名盤。このアルバムの本当の価値を誰も正当に評価していない。何故なら
「自作」じゃないし、当時は渡辺プロの「アイドル」だったから。だから評論家
がこれを認めるにはプライド許さないのだろうな、きっと。安っぽいプライドだ。
アルバムのクオリティは日本のJ-POP史上屈指の内容。とにかくトータルに素晴

らしいサウンドである。きっと吉川晃司を全然知らない人ような先入観がない人
だけが、この盤の素晴らしさに素直に感動できるんだと思う。余分な「知識」は
要らない。
吉川の個性的なボーカル、作品のクオリティ、プロデューサー木崎氏、スタジオ・
ミュージシャン、特にギターの今剛、北島健二等のプロフェッショナルなワーク。

そしてアレンジャーの大村雅朗（まさあき）氏である。ギターや先鋭的なシンセ
サウンドをフィーチャーした音創り。彼がいなければこのアルバムは成立してい
ないのは誰の目にも明らか。大村氏の早すぎた死を悼みつつ、J-POPの宝物を是
非聴いてみて下さい。04年の今聴いても未だ「先鋭的」です。プロの仕事です。

特にお勧めは４曲目の「サイレントムーンにつつまれて」。胸が抉られるように
ただただ切ない・・・。

当時、歌謡曲全盛期でソロでこんなかっこいい人いなかった！歌謡曲からROCKへの橋渡しになった名盤中の名盤だと思う。今でもまったく色あせない名曲ぞろいの捨て曲無し！私は４回このアルバムを買い直しました・・

テーブルに置かれたエメラルドのカクテル、キーワードの「リゾート」を表現したジャケットは、彼のアルバムの中で一番気に入っています。この頃のキッカワ君は本当にはじけていました。(^^ NOBODY、原田真二、そして大澤誉志幸等の布陣で完成した本作は、粒揃いの名作です。

イキナリ派手なキーボードとギターがフィーチュアされたノリのいい1「No No Circulation」で先制攻撃を喰らうと、あの大澤誉志幸をして「曲提供せずに自分で唄えば良かった(^^」と言わしめた名曲「LA VIE EN ROSE」へ。これほど完璧にリゾートの雰囲気を表現した曲は稀、聴いていて非常に心地よいです。切々と歌う4「サイレントムーンにつつまれて」、エキセントリックなロック8「BIG SLEEP」なども捨てがたく、全体の統一感がとれた傑作です。
