   本作より1年前にリリースされたアルバム『ステレオ』に比べると、グンと洗練されてきた。ちょうどこのころ、石田長生やCharとのセッションを体験し、刺激を受けたことが大きく影響しているようだ。山崎ならではの心にしみる切ないバラードが、アコースティックな演奏でたっぷり聴ける。（板山美枝子）

これを聴いてファンになりました。「ＨＯＭＥ」を聴いてもなんとも思わなかったんだけど、これの「振り向かない」を聴いたときはグググッときました。
山崎くんの曲の中ではヒットしなかった曲だけど、俺の中ではミリオンセラーです。他の曲も全曲良い。

収録されている「あじさい」を聴いて泣きました。
仕事や人間関係のギスギス感に押しつぶされそうでしたが、
「あじさい」の相手に対して重いかもしれないくらいの
愛や想う事の意味、思い遣りなどを再確認され
自分もこんなに想われたい！と言う気持ちに対して
そのためには自分はどうすべきなのか、
相手に対しての「無償の優しさ」が足りないと泣き、少し大人になれました。

最初はたいして聞いていなかったんです。正直「山崎まさよし」もあまり知らなかったせいもあるんですが。でも聞くとはまります、ほんとに。「振り向かない」はもちろんいい出来ですが、「あじさい」を聞くとそのイメージの絵が、「長男」を聞くと長男の姿が思い浮かぶのです（私の勝手なイメージ映像ですよ）。とてもよくまとまったミニアルバムです。聞いてください！
