   イタリアワインの銘柄でお馴染みのキリストの涙をというバンド名をもつ彼らの、1997年にリリースされたメジャー・ファースト・フルアルバム。まず驚かされるのが、楽曲の構成力だ。ポップチューンも数曲あるが、ほとんどの楽曲がポップスの皮を被ったプログレッシブロックである。メンバー5人の確実なテクニックに裏付けられた演奏が絶妙なアンサンブルを生んでおり、組曲的なドラマティックな展開、変拍子などイエスなどに代表される70年代の海外のバンドを思わずほうふつとさせる。（末延仁人）

ヴィジュアル・バンドなんだけど,すごくファンキー。ジャンルがどうこうという問題ではなくて,曲もZEP風あり,歌謡曲っぽいのあり,プログレもあり…,だけど統一感がある。ベースがとても{歌っていて}いいです。ラインといい,音といい,花マルです。

音が成熟しきってない感は少々ありますが、一曲一曲が持つ世界観だったり、音的なセンスだったりはラクリマのアルバムの中でも最高だと思います。曲的にはたぶんあまり一般受けを狙っていないものが多く、変拍子やロックっぽくないメロディーも多々見受けられるのですが、普通キーボードや打ち込みに逃げる音までバンドサウンドで表現している職人技には文句なく感動できます。これが意外と「正統派」と言われたゆえんではないでしょうか。
この頃の彼らは結構ヴィジュアル系なんですが、偏見を持たずに聴いて欲しい1枚です。曲中での物語の作り方とか、ギターの音とか、魅力がいっぱいです。特に「偏西風」が良いです。

本当に、すごい！の一言に尽きる。
演奏力のレベルや、楽曲そのものの良さは他のアルバムでも感じられるが、
映画や小説を見ているかのような目くるめく世界観、
まさに誰も見たことのない「キリストの涙」の様？
あと、個人的に気に入ってるのがジャケットデザイン。
インテリアにしたいくらい綺麗で、アルバムの内容のように素敵。
絶対に聴く価値あり。

La'cryma Christiはこれが最高傑作だと思う。

初めて聴いた時の感動は今でも忘れる事なく･･･ラクリマの本当に最高のアルバムだと思う。全体が１つの世界に繋がっているような空間があって、この不思議な空間はラクリマでないと絶対に作り出せないと思う。

全体的にちょっと変わった雰囲気で、まさにマニアック最盛期みたいな感じだけど、どの曲も個性があって、どれが一番と選べないぐらいすごい選曲だと感じた。
きっと、これを聴いたらラクリマの世界にどっぷりつかる事になると思う。

ラクリマの代表曲も数曲入っているし、聞かせる曲もあるし、重低音がかっこいい曲もあるしで･･･個性あふれるアルバムです。
