   山崎まさよし24歳のときに発表したファースト。デビューシングル<1>を筆頭に、素朴だが力強い作品がぎっしり詰め込まれている。山崎の魅力は、アップテンポのリズムに弾ける運動神経の良さと、中域によく伸びるその独特の声だ。デビューしたばかりのころから、すでにそのヴォーカル力が完成されているのがわかる。

山崎のアルバムは実に味がある。初めて聴いた『ＨＯＭＥ』にしても、その次に聴いたこの『アレルギーの特効薬』にしても、大声で歌いたくなるアルバムってそれほど多くないのだが、山崎の場合は歌いたいだけじゃなく、ギターを弾きたくなる、ハープを吹きたくなるのである。

その存在を知ったのは「月刊歌謡曲」だった。4の歌詞とタイトルを見て「熟れないだろうな~。」と思った。これは今さらながら懺悔する。今ではその4はもちろん1011もギターレパートリーとして部屋で大声で弾き、叫ぶ日々である。

アメリカに一年間住んでいる時も、山崎のギタースコアとＭＤを持っていき、部屋で歌っていた。これは元気を取り戻すための特効薬だ！

音を楽しめるのが山崎まさよしの音楽の特徴だと思う。いきなりのデビュー作でそれが色濃く刻まれていた。ルーツから会得してるのではと思うほど、深さと味のあるブルース。ギターを中心とした楽器同士のガチャガチャ感から巻き起こるグルーヴ。山崎の歌声すら楽器の一つのような調和力を持ちつつ、比類ない歌としての説得力。24歳の作品なのだから凄い力だ。
これら若いエネルギーの放射が凄いだけで既に聴き応えあるのだが、尚且つ全ての曲がしっかりとした骨格を具えており、全体でのまとまり方もタイトだ。だからこそ名盤の域にある作品なのだと思う。全曲完成度が高くどこにも隙がない11曲で、満足度は非常に高い。

ところでブルースというのは生活の中にある出来事から発せられてゆく音楽（今作の曲のタイトルはどれも素朴だ）だし、またリズム＆ブルースはギター等によりリズムの波長を作り、どんどん拡大してゆき、グルーヴ、スィングを作り出してゆく興奮度の高い手法だ。それを日本語ＰＯＰＳとして成立させ、今日純粋に魅させてくれるのは、トップチャートで他にアコギを使う歌手がいても、彼しかいない。日本にまた一人伝説が誕生した瞬間を知り、熱を覚えた処女作だった。

※これほどのデビュー作でのミュージシャンとして、作家としての成熟度は、滅多にいない。今までレビューした中では最近では矢野絢子「ナイルの一滴」、チャゲ＆飛鳥「風舞」あたりが今作と並び思い出す。他にもデビュー作をいろいろ聴いたがこの「アレルギーの特効薬」はぶっとんでる。

購入した当初は､殆ど聴いていなかったのです。どうしてかというと､声が跳ねているように聴こえて､すごく聴きづらく､落ち着いて聴けなかったのです。何年か経って､久しぶりに聴いた時に､若さが溢れていて新鮮で山崎さんの原点を感じました。今は､落ち着いて聴けるようになっています。
琥珀色の向い風、同様「妖精といた夏」は、遠い昔の事なのに、つい最近のように幼い頃の事を思い出してしまいます。
